Catalog description

This course is the culminating academic experience for students in the Community Mental Health Program. This course integrates theoretical learning with the students practicum experience, and supports students in offering original critical analysis. Each student will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their effective integration of their classroom and clinical experiences. In this seminar students will demonstrate the ways in which classroom experience, supervised clinical practicum and participation in a cohort program have transformed them and prepared them to play significant roles as therapists and leaders in the field of Community Mental Health. Students will deepen their understanding of and demonstrate skills in clinical communication across differences including those of race, social class, sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, and physical abilities. RESTRICTED TO COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH STUDENTS
