Catalog description

Expands the knowledge base needed to provide nursing care to patients and families with complex psychosocial and physiological health issues in a variety of psychiatric and medical-surgical settings. Applies the nursing process and the Neuman Systems Model to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex acute and chronic health problems, emphasizing the use of leadership skills in managing groups of patients. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
