Catalog description
Studies Earth's dynamic physical systems and processes, including Earth-sun geometry, weather, climate, water, landforms, soil, and the biosphere. Analyzes maps and mapping techniques (GIS) as a geographic tool used to solve geographic problems. Emphasizes interrelationships between human and environmental systems. Includes investigation and analysis of inequities in geographic processes such as the disproportionate impacts of climate change on minoritized communities and solutions for mitigating these inequities through environmental justice practices. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
