Catalog description

This course will introduce the physics of light and sound with application to visual arts and music such as sound perception, musical instruments, musical scales, lenses, cameras, color perception, and mixing. This course intended to present science through art and music and vice versa. Physics, art, and music are linked with each other and are ways to explore our existence in the universe. Selected applications for the above topics will also be discussed. Three-hour lecture, two-hour laboratory, Knowledge of basic math is expected.
