Music Theory II

Catalog description

A continuation of the material introduced in Theory I with expanded emphasis on part-writing, as well as an introduction to music analysis. Music examples of the Common Practice Period, as well as contemporary styles, will be analyzed. Students will create original compositions, arrangements, and complete peer analyses of their classmates' work.
