Catalog description
In this course, students are prepared to both produce statistics and interpret the results. Students produce and interpret: descriptive statistics, graphical representation of data and numerical summaries of data. They compute and explain basic probability concepts and examine and employ basic concepts of sampling and experimental design. Students produce statistics to examine linear correlation and regression. They also develop and analyze confidence interval estimates and perform hypothesis testing, including chi-square and proportion.
