This course explores key considerations in higher education related to fostering belonging for all students. Topics include legal and ethical responsibilities, learning and assessment theories, workforce and societal needs, and policies affecting student admissions and retention. The course also examines strategies for fostering constructive classroom discussions and creating meaningful learning experiences in complex educational environments. Emphasis is placed on understanding historical contexts, addressing biases, and promoting opportunities for all students in health care education.
