Catalog description

This course is designed to prepare the student to apply basic principles of exercise physiology and nutrition to the development of positive attitudes and behaviors in personal wellness. The influence of society, individual choices and heredity on personal wellness will be explored, as well as the role of exercise, proper nutrition and personal responsibility in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The interconnectedness of the mind, body and spirit in wellness will be emphasized to provide the student with a solid foundation for academic achievement and success in life.
