Catalog description

This course will encompass a broad range of topics related to diseases from an ecological perspective with a basis in evolutionary principles. Such topics will include disease manifestation and immune function, antiobiotic resistance, virulence, emerging diseases, genetic diseases and the major bridge between acute and chronic infectious diseases. The course will utilize primary literature sources, allowing students to stay on the forefront of disease research.
