Ballet I

Catalog description

This course is designed for students entering Louisville Ballet's Studio Company, whether at Level 7 or 8. Registration is restricted to dancers admitted to the Studio Company through the audition process. Ballet technique classes are supplemented with a complementary curriculum including variations, pointe, pas de deux, conditioning classes, and additional instruction. Students are introduced to the culture and expectations of Louisville Ballet, and dancers will be called to exclusive studio company rehearsals along with rehearsals alongside the Professional Company, as well as with the Community Engagement team, to learn and rehearse choreography to be performed throughout the fall and spring semesters.
