FOUNDATIONS OF U.S. HISTORY: CULTURE, POWER & INEQUALITY. This course surveys early US history to 1877, examining the cultural forces and power structures embedded in the nation's founding. Main topics include Indigenous experiences, European conquest, the American Revolution and Constitution, slavery, industrialization, gender roles, and the Civil War and Reconstruction.
